I had a couple of hours I needed to take off at work. So I asked if I could come in late today. After my long day yesterday I knew it would help if I could get a few extra hours of sleep.
Now understand in the house I live in "sleeping in" is like 7:00 because of the 4 precious (loud) boys that I live with. So I went to bed at a decent hour last night so I could get at least 8 hours. To my surprise I slept all the way through to my 8:00 alarm with no interruptions! It was glorious!!! I was planning on getting up and getting going but then decided to sleep for another hour :-) It was really nice.
I woke up this morning after having a really hard but telling dream. I have had some really heavy things weighing on my heart lately. I have been searching for answers and clarity and asking the Lord to reveal His desires. Even though the dream was rough and I woke up sober, I am very thankful for the dream.
Today I am thankful that God speaks to us in dreams. I am thankful that God releases His wisdom and revelation to those who ask. I am thankful that God cares about the details of our lives (big and small).
