"The beauty of Paul wasn't his superhumanity but his unwillingness to let his weakness, feelings, and fears override his faith. Like us, the fiercest enemy he had to fight in the fulfillment of his destiny was himself. Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord.
Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then... you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36).
FLEE FROM ARROGANCE, but whatever you do, hold tightly to the confidence you have in Christ. The enemy of your soul will never have to worry about what kind of damage you could do to the kingdom of darkness if he can get you to buy the lie that you are incompetent, weak, inadequate. But you're not. You may be "struck down, but [you are] not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:9 NIV)."
