Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and I thought I would talk a little about mine.  My dad, well he is one of a kind!

A Man's Man

A Teacher

My dad has taught me many things in my life.  He taught me to fish, to play softball, to shoot a gun and to love Nebraska Football.  He taught me how to work hard and keep my word.  He taught me to be tough.  He taught me about being faithful in the midst of trials.  My dad has shown me what to look for in my future spouse.  And although we have never quite seen eye to eye on our beliefs or on how we see the world he has always supported me in my decisions.  

One day, I know that my dad will make a wonderful father-in-law and an outstanding Grandpa.  I get teary eyed as I imagine him teaching my children the things he taught me.  I know the blessings will continue to flow down to future generations because of the wonderful man my father is.
