As I type this I am going on hour 3 at the coffee shop in front of my computer....
I just sent out a mass email to 73 people asking them to consider becoming monthly supports. I replied to emails who had replied to me. I wrote a follow-up letter to my Pastor. And now I am about to have a meeting with a friend.
Oh Sunday you have been productive!
I am trying really hard to have March be a great month for my support raising. So far March as been tough. I'm trusting that the communication I have made with people will turn out to be blessed and productive :)
This morning a church the message was one that I really needed to hear. We are studying Philippians and went of chapter 4, verses 1-9. Philippians 4:4-7 says:
"Rejoice in the Lord always; I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
I was yet again reminded that God cares about me, He cares about my heart, He cares about my situation, and He cares about my need of support. He sees how hard support raising can be. He knows what is in my heart and the hearts of the people I talk to about support. God cares and He wants to help... I just have to ask!
Today I am thankful for coffee shops that have free Wifi, for hot coffee on a coldish day, for friends who love me, and for my amazing God who cares and offers me peace that transcends understanding!
May God fill you with love and peace today!
~Nicole
