Last night I made a quick casserole and while it was cooking I pulled out my camera and started snapping. What of? All of my furniture, that's what of!!! This weekend I am going to begin the stage of what I'm calling "Operation Sell All".
Now it is true that I am not moving to Rome for another 14 months. So why am I selling all of my stuff now? In order to save money and get things in order before the BIG move I am doing a little move in with some of my dearest friends! And since I am going to be gone FOR AT LEAST 5 years with no plans beyond that I don't want to put anything in storage. So "Operation Sell All" will now commence.
Many emotions go into this stage. I will (hopefully) have an empty apartment very soon. The money I get from selling my possessions are going into a savings account - which will hopefully be built up as my travel money to come back to the States to see my family. I am excited - I like when things move along quickly! I am nervous - reality sets in yet again! I am feeling a little overwhelmed - but this too shall pass! But in the midst of it all I am READY!!!
I am ready to part with old possessions.
I am ready to begin living in community once again.
I am ready for yet another move (5th move in 2 1/2 years) :)
I am ready to sell all and go tell people about Jesus!
I am ready to begin yet another season of life...
This is how I feel some days... just hide in the box ;)
Lots a things to do to get ready for the big "Sell All" Day!
I totally want one of these!!! Just gonna pack myself and fly off to Rome now!
If you have moved or are moving you understand all that it entails! But I have to admit... I really like moving! And you won't hear me complain about moving to Rome!!! :)

Hi Nicole! We're at the stage of selling and packing our things as well. Even though we're only going for a year, we've still accummulated so much stuff that we really don't need. It's been a really freeing process to get rid of stuff! Best wishes as you move!
ReplyDeleteLove you friend! I am sooo proud of you! You inspire me! :o))
