However, this year I felt the Lord nudge me strongly to set some goals for this year. This being a big year for me, I decided I should follow as He leads! The key to this year's goal setting was to be realistic. Like baby step sized goals that are honest to myself and measurable.
I would like to share the goals I have set for 2013. Why share my goals? First, I am a bit flaky and need accountability. Second, I'm really excited about this and hope that by sharing you may be encouraged to set some goals.
~~Nicole's 2013 Goals~~
1) Read the Bible from front cover to back cover.
I am using the ESV Study Bible - Bible in a Year reading plan to accomplish this goal!
2) Begin each day with reading the Word and in Prayer.
3) Become a healthy person through eating healthy/naturally.
As you know I am living in France this year where cheese, bread and wine are everywhere at every meal! The fruit of the Spirit - Self Control will be tested this year!
4) Take more pictures... 1 picture a
5) Blog 3 times per week.
[This may be over reaching. We shall see.]
6) Read a biography of a Missionary/Revivalist/Evangelist
7) Learn French!
Well, duh! But I do need to put it as a goal ;)
8) Embrace. Embrace change, challenges, successes, failures, excitement, the process, weakness, strength... Embrace all that comes my way with unwavering FAITH that my God is for me and not against me!
Have you set goals for this year? I would love to hear what your goals are and pray for you as you walk through this new year!
