Still loving Luke

Luke 3:4-7 references Isaiah 40:3-5

"A voice cries: In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken."

While reading this section of Luke, starring at John's life and his purpose of preparing the way for the Messiah I hit the "mental" breaks. Whoa! I think this is for me. Go back. Reread.

I sat there and all I could this is: that's me, that's us, that's why we are going to Italy. Like John did in days of old, me and my teammates are going to Italy with the cry in our hearts PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD and all flesh shall see the salvation of God!

I love when the Old and New Testaments kiss each other. God's really cool like that!
